Q.

my baby got fits during fever. what is the reason for this kind of fits. moreover in norm condition also he breaths by mouth sometimes.what will be the reason for this

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretict like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .d Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. Fits I never a good sign no matter what it could be a neurological issue that the child may be having so I’m just going to advise you to consult a neurologist once Lee regarding the same to know more about it because after a proper assessment you can further be more sure about the entire thing
