my baby got fever on 12 April early morning at 3 all of sudden n it was high fever ... in the morning we visited the dr n she gave us this medicind called calpol drops to repeat after every 4 hrs but her fever didn't dropped . in the evening I told the dr about my baby's condition n she prescribed us ibugesic plus drops ... but my baby's fever is not dropping .... Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. it is not very common that after this also the fever will not decrease so it is advisable that you should meet your doctor and you may have to give meftal p after medical consultation with the doctor

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. the dosage given by the doctor is alright.
this medicine will decrease the body temperature for at least 6 hours and then you can again repeat this medicine if needed. also after giving the medicine kindly do body sponge which will again help in decreasing the body temperature. also the medicine should not be more than three months old after opening otherwise it will not work properly. always shake the bottle properly for proper mixing of the medicine internally before giving the medicine dosage to the child.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. slight amount of warm temperature will be present. when you take the temperature in the armpit of the child and it is hundred or more then only consider it is fever and then only give medicine otherwise do not worry about it and also do body sponge
