Only breastmilk or formula are main sources of nutrition for babies. After 5 to 6 months you can give solid foods to baby after confirmation and guidance from baby's pediatrician. Keep baby's room well ventilated, cool and comfortable. Dim the lights and feed at night. Keep noise levels and activities to a minimum after evening hours. Try to keep a routine of play, bath, and sleep timings. Massage and bath before bed. Give hindmilk that comes later from breastmilk which contains fats and keeps baby full longer. Use a white noise machine which plays soothing music or rain or water sounds. Swaddle baby for cozy sleeping. For gas problem make sure you burp baby after every feed. Walk around with baby's head on your shoulder and supporting her neck gently bounce. It is fine for breastfed babies to not poop for upto 5 days . Give tummy time daily for a few minutes multiple times. Gently massage your baby's tummy with fingers for few minutes. Cycle baby's legs with your hands gently after every feed. Also keep baby upright in standing position holding with your hands for support few minutes after feed.
