A. Based on the information provided, your baby boy's weight at birth was 3.1 kg, and he is now 6 months old, weighing 9.6 kg. According to growth charts from organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), a baby's weight is expected to approximately double by 4-6 months and triple by the time they are one year old. At 6 months, a weight of 9.6 kg is within a healthy range for many babies, especially if he was gaining weight steadily and following his growth curve. Exclusively breastfeeding is generally not associated with overfeeding, as breastfed babies tend to self-regulate their intake according to their hunger and growth needs. However, every baby is unique, and what is typical can vary widely. If you are concerned about your baby's weight or growth pattern, it would be a good idea to discuss it with your pediatrician. They can assess your baby's growth using standardized growth charts and consider other factors like height, head circumference, and overall development to provide a comprehensive evaluation.
