Q.

My baby boy is 14 months old. The doctor has advised us to circumcise him, but when I read articles, all are saying that skin will automatically go back up to the age of 6. Should we wait for it?

A. Baby circumcision is a common practice across the globe and is in existence from Biblical times. Statistics show that it is more common in Jews and the Muslim people in accordance with their religious requirements. However, in our times the circumcision rates have fallen in the UK compared to the other parts of the world because health experts believe that there is no need for it unless there is a medical condition. So now in most cases, it is the call of doctors on whether or not to go for circumcision. https://parenting.firstcry.com/articles/baby-circumcision-benefits-procedure-care/
