Q.

My baby bilirubin at discharge from hospital was 11.5 and newborn screening was normal. 4th day follow up his bilirubin reached 22 and underwent phototherapy for 72 hrs and bilirubin at discharge was 10.5. 3 days after his bilirubin reached 11.9 and 5th day 12.5. Dr says it's normal and will take time to resolve. but I am really worried. Can anyone help me.

A. needs follow up. Well, this looks ok but avoid self medication. try giving proper diet n don't miss on dose in this. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide you
