Q.

my 9 month old son tested +ve for covid.he has fever 102.5 since yesterday night.am giving paracetamol for every six hours but his fever is not in control.his intake also reduced. what should I do?should I admit him in hospital?

A. as per treating doc advice spo2 levels ??Consultation with doctor personally , is required because examination of the baby is necessary to arrive on a conclusive diagnosis and prescribe accordingly. Maintain adequate hygiene to prevent risk of infection and stay safeOmicron variant is likely to be more infective and spread easily. Its symptoms are cough fatigue runny nose congestion. Children show predominantly upper respiratory tract infection likr fever, runny nose, throat pain, body ache , dry cough. It is recommended to wear a mask regardless of the vaccination status and maintain social distancing. use of sanitizer is recommended .
