Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. No problem will occur but this is not normal
Common during teething
Your child is having teething problem during which there is swelling in the gums and the child is having irritation as well as pain and there will be drooling and excessive salivation.
kindly maintain oral hygiene of the child and with the help of your clean fingers press the gums of the child to decrease the pain and if the child is crying with pain and irritation you can give paracetamol also
to decrease the pain many times children press their finger in between the gums as well as take dirty things in the oral cavity. you have to just maintain hygiene of the finger which is going inside the oral cavity and this is a self limiting habit

As long as your baby is active and healthy, showing no discomfort symptoms then nothing to worry. Give liquids and fibre like water and bananas respectively. Good luck and take care.
