Q.
My 8weeks old newborn sleeps very less, maybe like 8-10 hours in a day. I read online and in general newborn generally sleeps between 16-18 hours a day. May I know the reason for it? Is there something concerning about her condition?

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 10 months agoA. its due to gas in stomach causing indigestion and discomfort to the baby . so baby not able to sleep properly . so burp well and maintain slanting position while feeding the baby
