A. whenever you introduce food for the child and it is causing constipation you have to stop that particular food which is causing such problems and try to give food which is more rich in fibre and has got plenty of fluids. it is important to add papaya in the diet which will help in decreasing this problem and also at the same time see that you are not giving any new outside milk which is again known to cause constipationt Medicine is to be given only if instructed by the doctor after examination. give plenty of water to drink. if needed the doctor will give polyethylene glycol which is the first line of medicine for constipation

A. Infant constipation often begins when a baby starts eating solid foods. If your baby seems constipated, consider simple changes to your infant's diet: Water or fruit juice. Offer your baby a small amount of water or a daily serving of 100% apple, prune or pear juice in addition to usual feedings.
