Q.
My 8 month old baby boy does not respond to his name . Sometimes he does and sometimes not . When he does I feel he is not responding to sound and not his name . Is it ok not to respond to his name at this age ? Also he has not started moving yet like crawling , creeping or scooting . He comes to that position but does not move . But he keeps rolling over from front to back and vice versa

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. and no need to worry about crawling, because usually babies learn to crawl at the age between 8 to 11 months.
and it is also normal to skip whole phase of crawling so don't worry.

kids at this stage of age become more mobile and curious for their surrounding so it is ok if your child is not responding sometimes.
but if your child is not always responding to his or her name by the age of 9 or 10 months then you should consult your pediatrician.
