Father of a Newborn10 months ago
Q.

My 7.5 month baby (corrected age 6month) born at 33weeks. He laughs when we make him laugh. He has decent eye contact and smiles a lot. He has also started turning head towards sound, but it is occasional. Sometimes he will not turn towards a loud sound but will turn head toward small sound like whistle. Also, he has little to no cooing and does not produce much sound either. We mentioned it to the doctor he has asked to wait till 9months corrected age. Please advise.

A. Is your doctor has already advised you to wait till the time of nine months you may there is no problem with that but yes my thing concern right now is with the sound so when you whistle and all so that sound is very close to the years of your child maybe that is why your child is responding that much and not to the loud sound because it comes from far and maybe it is not that loud for the child so just wait for the time of nine months and currently for this issue if you do not see it getting better by the time of nine months then you can consult consultant ENT doctor
