Q.

my 6 mo is not passing URINE. He was having a fever, cold & cough for the last one week. We gave him antibiotics and also nebulized thrice a day for five days. But he is still not passing urine. it's been 4 days now when he is only passing urine only twice a day and that is very yellowish. he is on breastfeed and he eats apple puree or the cerelac once a day

A. meet your Dr for follow up. urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times per day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour. the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hours. if it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint. there is no problem if the urine frequency is normal and the child is not passing urine at night

A. This could be due to dehydration also it’s not a good thing that the child is not possible sufficient amount of urine so it is going to be very very important for you to get a check with your doctor there going to help you in a way to beat the dehydration from
