my 5year old son keeps burping whenever he starts to eat, and complains of tummy ache

A. Hello mom could very possibly be he is having. Some tummy issue, give him some saunf or ajwain water would help to ease some gas issues .. Also offer some curds or buttermilk it is. A natural probiotic and would be good for any tummy issues.
