my 5 year old son does mouthing, chews pencils, bites toys n non edible items, doctor gave deworming medecine,no improvement after giving deworming medecine,still does mouthing . his weight is 17 kg ,weight not increasing since 1 year, diet is normal ,eats eggs chkn food properly everyday.

Developmentally he is ahead of his peers especially in language & communication he is “miles ahead” (assessment by professional in his nursery) but he still puts toys / sand / non food items in his mouth - doesn’t swallow them but chews them.
