Q.

my 5 months old baby girl has cold and she is refusing to drink milk? what can I do for that??

A. Nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will chelp in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus Try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small childrenc For fever and pain give paracetamol Continue the regular diet which is being given to the child

A. Put Nasal drops 20 to 30 minutes prior when you breastfeed the child this is going to open the nose blockage of the child and it would be easier for your child to take a feed after that but you’ll have to be very particular about it and keep the child head in an elevated position
