Q.

My 4years old baby girl always suffer a hair loss. Could it be of deficiency or scalp problem.. please suggest me what to do.. im so worried

A. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons. Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there. After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 gyears of age. Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying vposition

A. Thing could be there because most of the times hair fall is either associated with deficiency of iron and omega-3 and a lot of cases would be due to some scalp related problem dryness dandruff unhealthy scalp so you need to check with a dermatologist
