my 40 days old baby boy is having loose motion he cries whenever he pees and poops, almost every one hour he pees and poops little little very often. he has redness near his anus. he also vomits the milk occasionally. he is breastfed now. is this normal or anything we can do to improve the condition experts please advice#AskTheExpert

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .
supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with thgat probiotic can be given like enterogermina or ecotnorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .

shilpi BhandariMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hello mum on the things you are explaining your is quite normal in the newborn baby but still if he is passing motion again and again then medication is important apply mustard oil or coconut oil or any rash cream on the anus regularly
