Q.
My 3.9 year old son starts coughing and sneezing with runny nose all of a sudden when we are outdoors which seems like an allergic reaction to the outside wind/air( happens sometimes at home too). Could you please suggest?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.jg
if fefver is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Yes it is an allergic reaction only that’s what it looks like to me as well so if you have any antiallergic available at her then you can go ahead with giving that as of now and later once you can consult your doctor to understand which medicine can you continue with later on in theWrite Your Answer Here
