Q.

my 27 day old daughter is getting hiccups more frequently after breast feeding.although iam burping it is not reducing for 30 min..pls give any remedy

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside sthe stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is az self limiting problem during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode

A. This is common with every single child that you will come across and this is absolutely normal and common city do not have to worry about that as of now this is going to continue for initial 5 to 6 months but slowly situation is going to be much better over the period
