Q.
My 2 year old son swallowed the nib of a ball point pen. Do I need to do some ultrasound ? Will the nib come out itself in his potty?

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. I it will be thrown out in the stools. but next time take very good care so baby doesn't swallow anything abnormal. watch for nausea, vomitting, indigestion, diarrhoea, breathing difficulty, if present consult pediatrician.

Nihita mittalMom of a 8 yr 2 m old boy6 years agoA. Definitely it is a matter of concern because it is a little .pointy so I suggest you visit a doctor for a checkup you will be able to decide better whether you should go for an ultrasound or it is not needed
