Q.

My 2 month old recently changed his feeding pattern and he feeds only every 5 to 7 hrs in the day. He cries when I try to feed him every 3 hrs.He sleeps up to 6 hrs at night. Today his no of feeds got reduced to 5. Is it normal? I feel like this is affecting my milk supply. Any suggestions is appreciated.

A. dear Mum feeding pattern varies from baby to baby it can also vary according to development milestones like teething if baby is passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours is active alert and gaining adequate weight then do not worry hand express breastmilk if breast are too full or hurt feed on demand

A. hello just make sure the baby is getting sufficient breast milk and the child is tummy full and also check on the baby growth and if the baby is gaining a minimum of 600 grams to 800 grams per month then it is a good weight gain and absolutely nothing to worry
