Q.

My 2.5 year old son is having high fever since today evening. We have given one dose of calpol 250 (5 ml) still fever isn't coming down. Kindly suggest what can we do to reduce the fever

A. Hello, your baby boy is 2.5 years old and he is having a high fever so give him 5 ml syrup ibugesic plus 3 times a day and cold water sponges

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the saafest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a prroper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. Cold Punching and better known as Thande Paani ki patti start doing that if you think the fever is increasing you can repeat the medicine after six hours and if the fever still is not in control if it reaches much more higher because I do not know what is the temperature then you should go to the hospital or visit your doctor in the night also if it is needed
