Q.
my 2.4year old son is not speaking much as most toddlers speak by this age . he just says mamma, papa, baby.. though we try to help him speak he is not interested to try.. we read him books.. stress all the words while talking to him... can you suggest what should I do more?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age yovu need to consbult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
