Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. this is teething pain
during teething (pain can start as early as 3 months)
there is itching, pain, drooling of saliva, swelling in the gums, oral finger insertion, irritability and crying during the teething process.
it will come intermittently for few days to few weeks and then will go away. usually teething pain doesn't come after 2 years of age.
with the help of your fingers you can press the gums of the child to decrease the pain as well as you can give a pacifier but it should be clean.
you can give a cold cotton cloth to bite and press between the gums
when the child is crying due to pain not resolving then you can give paracetamol which will also help in decreasing the pain.
long-term medicine on daily basis (homeopathic /allopathic )(they are painkiller)are usually not advisable.
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. But it is really very difficult to say anything without proper examination of the baby. It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a dentist and follow doctors advise properly. You can also book online doctor’s appointment on FirstCry where the doctor can help you and guide you properly
Thanks and take care
