Q.
my 180 days baby suffering from cold and cough dr advised to use nebulizer for 4 time per day. my doubt is how many minutes should i use it for him at a time

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 180 days old and he is having chest congestion and wheezing sounds from his chest so give him nebuliser with Duoline respules twice a day

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after agt proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
