Q.
My 17 month old son is coughing from last 2 days.what should I do to ease his problem?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor achbcording to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

U Nebulise your child if you want to instead of using any kind of medicines as of now you can use water right now I’m sure I never lies I would not be available with you so you can give indirect steam to the child if you want to add also make some ginger juice and honey together and then you can give it to the child
