Q.
my 11month baby had covid. His cough is not improving. We are giving him coriminic syrup from five days but no results have been seen? what should I do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and texpectorant bronchodilators or antitussives mehgdicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

So along with whatever medicines you are giving to the child I would suggest you to start nebulising the child as well because that is going to help in reducing down the congestion over the period so you can do it two times in a day for a minimum of five daysWrite Your Answer Here
