Q.
My 11 month old son ate a very small amount of vicks vaporub accidentally. I m not sure whether he ate it or not, only a small amount of vicks was found on his lips. After 5 or 10 min. he went to sleep, he is breathing normally as of now and drank milk normally. Do i need to worry?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. clean the oral cavity of the child and wait and watch. if there is no vomiting then there is no need to worry but if vomiting occurs then you can give vomiting medicine and then meet your doctor. whether poisoning or any prroblem will occur or not only time will decide and the doctor will give symptomatic relief with the help of antacid medicines. whether any laxatives are required or not will also be informed by the doctor. try to give easily digestible food to the child and regular fluids

Well I cannot say what’s the situation could be because you are also not sure that whether yo China is it in a town or any child is behaving normally you are saying but yet to be on the safer side I would suggest you to get it checked with your doctor ones
