Q.

My 11 month old baby having frequent high fever of 103 in intervals of month or two. What to do.

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is havingd fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicinesd (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. I think it would be good if you get a blood test done as that is going to clear up the picture as why your child is often having this high fever and accordingly you can take further treatment mostly fever is a response to an infection but it could be associated with other things as well so I think an elaborated blood test would be good
