Make sure that while breastfeeding, the baby empties one breast first before moving on to the next breast as the milk that comes towards end which is hind milk is rich in fat and helps in healthy weight gain. If the baby is active and is eating well, then there is no need to worry about his weight. Give all home cooked meals. Give all seasonal fruits and vegetables. Give ragi and brown rice. Give fruit smoothies. Give cheese sandwiches and peanut butter sandwiches. Give chickpeas and green peas. Give one boiled egg yolk per day. Give lentils like moong Dal and urad dal. Add ghee in small amounts to your baby's meals. Give home made paneer pieces. Give cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes. Give bananas, avocados, pears, mangoes, pineapple and papaya.
