My 10 months son is having fever 2 days back and his fever is fine now but today is body is very cold. His testicles today is also very smal. can you please let me know if this is fine or we need to see doctor.. His fever is fine now but having little cough and running nose for this he is having Ascoril LS and Tminic drops

A. Fever is a response of the body defence mechanism against any infection or stress related factors. Viral fever or flu infection is commonly seen in children where the symptom could be fever cold redness and watering from the eyes and cough. Paracetamol can be given and cold sponging of body to reduce the temperature. In viral fever the fever will repeat after few hrs for at least 2-3 days and even last longer . Ibuprofen and mefanamic acid can be an alternative if fever still persist after parvcacetamol. Also hydration of the body should be maintained by giving proper liquid intake.
