Q.

mu daughter is 5 and half months old now. have started semi solids to her, but she is not taking and crying a lot. iam giving her rice powder by boiling it, also tried oats, ragi. I'm not adding salt or sugar, but from past 1 week iam adding jaggery which she is eating sometimes. is it fine adding jaggery? can you please suggest any better option, like adding banana into boiled ragi, rice or oats is it a good option? what can I do?

A. don't add jaggery. give fruits n vegetable puree, Start with a very small quantity and slowly increase the portion. Baby should be seated in upright position for feeding.

A. Hi mom Some babies they take time to adjust to solid food. so no need to worry. keep trying. U can introduce cerelac, daal ka pani, ripe banana, apple puree, ragi porridge, pumpkin puree, mashed rice, avocado, mashed potatoes etc as the first food
