Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or thwo tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

Maintain hydration
Yes you can give after one day
Offer one new food at a time
Give seasonal fruits vegetables juice and cereals mashed potato mashed banana
Wash hands often before touching your baby
Maintain hygiene
Try to keep head up position while feeding
Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation
