Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. it's normala nd due to . teeth eruption signs are swollen gums , drooling saliva and a cranky baby . Massage baby gums by clean hands to help with pain and irritation relieve . Can use a teether for soothing baby . Give vitamin d3 800 IU then 0.5 ml or 400 IU 1 ml daily to baby from birth to one year of age for strong teeth and bones .

The increased flow of saliva that often signals the appearance of a new tooth seems to soothe tender gums; however, if your baby appears to be drooling excessively and looks ill, she may be having trouble swallowing, which requires medical attention.
