A. It's completely normal for a 9-month-old baby to not have teeth yet. Some babies get their first tooth as early as 6 months, while others may not get one until 12–15 months. Every child’s teething timeline is different. What You Can Do: ✔ Massage the gums gently with a clean finger. ✔ Give teething toys to soothe the gums. ✔ Include calcium-rich foods like curd, paneer, and ragi in your diet (if breastfeeding). ✔ Encourage chewing by offering soft finger foods like banana, steamed carrot, or cucumber. When to Worry? 🚩 If no teeth appear by 15–18 months, consult a pediatrician. 🚩 If your baby has other developmental delays along with delayed teething. 🚩 If there are signs of calcium or vitamin D deficiency (weak bones, delayed milestones).
