A. Hi, Most babies start food rejection around this age. Mostly due to teething or any other illness or deficiency. Try giving your baby variety of food with different taste, colour and texture. Sit down with your plate when you are feeding your kid, it will encourage her to see that you are also eating the same food. Try to make the baby eat while playing. Restrict juices. Limit the intake of milk. As liquids fills the baby tummy leaving less space for solids. Check for anemia, vitamin deficiencies, worms. Give your baby 3 meals and 2-3 snacks in a day. Add ghee or homemade butter in your baby food. Add dry fruits, paneer, boiled egg, curd etc in your baby diet. Give energy dense fruits and vegetables like banana, chikku, potatoes, sweet potatoes along with all the seasonal fruits and vegetables. Consult with your pediatrician if no improvement is observed.
