A. If your baby is 3 months old and is experiencing excessive drooling, it is usually a normal part of development at this stage. Drooling often starts when babies begin to develop their oral muscles and start teething, which usually happens around this age. However, if the drooling is accompanied by other symptoms like fever, difficulty swallowing, or rash, it could be a sign of an infection or other medical issue, and you should consult a pediatrician. In general, to manage drooling: Keep a clean cloth or bib to wipe off the drool and avoid irritation on the skin. Ensure that your baby is not teething prematurely or excessively, and check their gums for signs of teething. You can also gently massage the gums to soothe any discomfort. If the drooling continues to be excessive or is associated with other symptoms, it's a good idea to speak to your pediatrician for further evaluation.
