Q.

Mam, My 3 and 5 month old daughter is having fever 103. I have given her paracetamol syrup 3.5 ml (250mg/5ml) but fever is not going down. What to do? Please advise

A. whenever fever is not improving with paracetamol you will have to see if the dosage of the medicine is given according to the weight of the child or not and if the power of the paracetamol is proper. also if the medicine is older than one month after opening then better to buy a new bottle. you have to give paracetamol adnd also do body sponge and keep the child in cotton clothes. after 2 hours of paracetamol if the fever is is not improving then you can go for higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day.

A. gv crocin ds syrup... keep the baby well hydrated increase the water intake.. gv ORS... use wet cotton patti to low down the temperature... if fever persists reach the dr.
