Q.

Ma'am, my baby weighs 8.3 kg and she is 14 months old. I am a little worried about her because when she was 9 months old, her weight was 9 kg and it has reduced. What should I do or how much should I worry about?

A. Namaste Mom, Can you please share her dietary intake? As per the age the toddler birth weight should almost triple, and their diet should consist of regular family foods which are soft in consistency.

A. Small weight changes are common as babies become more active. If she is eating well, active and meeting milestones, there is nothing to worry about. Consult your paediatrician for reassurance.

A. Hi if the weight got less and it’s not appropriate as per the age you should be concerned about it so try and give all the family foods plus good protein in the diet both veg and non veg which will help in elevating the growth and weight of your child Write Your Answer Here
