last year my fetus lost his heartbeat at 10 th week of pregnancy. earlier heartbeat was observed in 5 th month sonography . what was the reason behind this ?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. As sometimes during the first trimester, usually around 6 to 10 weeks, the embryo quits developing and the heartbeat stops. Mostly it happens due to an issue with the chromosomes. It is also possible that the embryo did not develop and left empty pregnancy sac, which means it started to grow but did not continue.
