kid is 5 years old. last Saturday she got cold and severe cough with fever. fever continued for 2 days. gave ambrosia d syrup for cough as prescribed by doctor. also I'm applying warm coconut oil in chest and back. till now cough hasn't gone. how many days will it take for cough to reduce and go

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. recurring and non resolving cough and cold is commonly due to allergy and less likely due to infection. can be due to either allergy or infection or both. along with cough and cold medicine nebulizxation will be required and your doctor will guide you regarding this. take a follow up with your doctor if the cough and cold is not improving with 3 days of medication .
it is very important to give proper inhaler as well as proper method of nebulization for better recovery
