Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. japanese encephalitis is a disease which is very common in eastern and central india as well as half of eastern part of south india.
this disease is slowly spreading throughout india.
you have to contact yourx local pediatrician who will tell you whether this disease is endemic in your state or not.
so if it is endemic it is advisable to go for this vaccine and if it is not endemic you can keep it as an optional vaccine

No it’s not a mandatory vaccination it’s an optional once if you want to get it done you can get it done and if you do not want to get it it’s absolutely fine there is no problem with that and in case of any doubt always consult your paediatrician for further clarity
