Q.

Is scar thickness of 5 mm at 31 weeks growth scan positive or negative indicator for VBAC? No complications thankfully in pregnnacy till now with optimal growth and no past history except delivery through c section 6 years back. What's should be optimal scar thickness at which I can think fo VBAC option if rest of the factors are favorable.

A. 5 mm is okay Its not the only indicator Try vbac only in institution setting Normal delivery depends on many factors like clinical examination findings, baby weight, head descent, position, previous Ceserean indications etc Connect for more details and information here Go to my website Www.familygynaec.com For articles on breastfeeding and baby care Blog section YouTube channel Dr Harita Kothia videos
