Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimenx or you can go for a single dosage after two years of age.
your doctor is the best person to tell you whether it is required by your child or not.
my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available
Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello dear parent! It is an optional vaccination. Ideally it should be given. Still, your child’s doctor will advise you correctly. Consult your doctor for further guidance in this regard. Maintain a good personal hygiene routine and follow your doctor’s advice
