Hi dr is it mandatory to take mcv vaccine for 6 years old boy it is optional

A. it's optional meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can go for a single dosage after two years of age. your doctor is the best person to tell you whether it is required by your child or not. my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available

A. You can check it into the growth and vaccination tracker you’ll come to know which vaccinations are mandatory in which one you need to get done further you can check with your doctor and this your doctor would be able to give you better guidance on this
