Q.
Is it safe to take Covisheild vaccine for breastfeeding mother of a 2 month old baby? Can breastfeeding resume soon after taking the vaccine or should there be a wait time?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. any Covid vaccination like covishield or covaxin can be given safely to breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by government of India.children are not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions af.mnd given a good balanced diet n supplements for immunity.
Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.it has no adverse effects on the baby.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo can be taken which is safest in this period.

Yes Play safe as per the government norms but I feel if you take it right now and then you breastfeed your child immediately then if whatever issues you are facing the child is also going to have Some I have read a couple of questions queries where people say that the kids are having diarrhoea after getting the vaccination done and also if you want you can go ahead right now or you can wait for another 4 to 5 months
