A. Yes, it is generally okay for a baby or even an adult to pass stool every 2 to 3 days, as long as the stool is soft, the person is not straining, and there are no signs of discomfort like bloating, excessive gas, or pain. In babies, especially those who are breastfed, it’s common to go without a bowel movement for even up to a week at times, and it's still considered normal if the baby is happy and feeding well. However, if the stool is hard, dry, or causing pain, or if there's a sudden change in routine with signs of discomfort, it may be a sign of constipation, and it's best to consult a doctor.
