Q.

is it necessary to give rice dal and the like to baby? or is it fine if baby is having other healthy foods like oats, ragi, dry fruits, millets and all?

A. it's ok. give all types of food.. You can make a variety: sooji kheer, rice kheer, thick soups made from a mixture of pulses, cereals and seasonal vegetables, rice-daal khichdi etc. These are nutritionally rich, made fresh from home available ingredients so that your baby learns straight away to eat the family food

See at the situation practically be giving each and every thing that is been traditionally cooked at home and what you are saying is right to be given but that is not proper meal for overall growth of your child is food has its own importance and you have to give it if not today you have to start with it over the period
