Q.
Is it fine if my one month old feeds 120 ml every 2-2.5 hours. He even asks for more but we have restricted it to 120 ml for now otherwise he keeps on crying. Also he never gets satisfied when breastfed directly so have to express every 2-3 hours to feed him through bottle. please advise if it's a good practice.

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Thank you Doctor, but the thing is he latches fine but feeds for 10 mins only so not able to reach till hindmilk. Also is the concern regarding quantity valid

Hello baby doesnot get satisfied with breastmilk because baby only takes the initial watery milk, & doesnot take the hind milk, which is fat rich Make sure to latch properly You can also try to Breastfeed 1st then every time give 15 or 30 ml formula milk, preferably with vati & a spoon. because if you bottle feed , baby will not suck properly on Breastfeed.
